Overlay Not Showing in OBS

The Browser Source is added but nothing appears

Solution 1: Verify URL

  1. Right-click the Browser Source in OBS → Properties
  2. Verify the URL is correct (should start with https://)
  3. Make sure you copied the full URL from your dashboard
  4. Click OK to save

Solution 2: Check Dimensions

Ensure these exact settings:

  • Width: 1920
  • Height: 1080
  • FPS: 30

Solution 3: Refresh Source

  • Right-click the Browser Source
  • Select "Refresh"
  • Wait 5 seconds

Solution 4: Hardware Acceleration

  1. OBS Settings → Advanced
  2. Find "Browser Hardware Acceleration"
  3. Enable it
  4. Restart OBS

Black Screen / Nothing Loads

Browser Source shows but remains black

  • Try opening the overlay URL in a browser
  • Check if you can access other websites

Solution 2: Clear Browser Cache

  1. Close OBS completely
  2. Navigate to: %AppData%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser (Windows)
  3. Delete everything in that folder
  4. Restart OBS

Solution 3: Firewall/Antivirus

  • Check if firewall is blocking OBS browser sources
  • Temporarily disable antivirus to test
  • Add OBS to firewall exceptions

Chat Commands Not Working

Overlay shows but doesn't respond to commands

Solution 1: Check Twitch Connection

  1. Go to your dashboard
  2. Check if Twitch account is connected
  3. Look for "Connected" status
  4. If disconnected, reconnect your Twitch account

Solution 2: Verify Permissions

Only these users can use commands:

  • The broadcaster (you)
  • Channel moderators
  • Viewers cannot use commands

  • Right-click Browser Source in OBS

Solution 1: Correct Dimensions

Set Browser Source to:

  • Width: 1920 (exactly)
  • Height: 1080 (exactly)
  • Do NOT scale the source after adding it

Solution 2: Canvas Resolution

  1. OBS Settings → Video
  2. Check "Base (Canvas) Resolution"
  3. Should be 1920x1080 for best quality

Solution 3: Avoid Scaling

  • Don't resize the overlay after adding it
  • Right-click source → Transform → Reset Transform
  • Position it without changing size

Overlay is Laggy or Slow

Updates are delayed or animations stutter

Solution 1: Lower FPS

  1. Right-click Browser Source → Properties
  2. Change FPS from 30 to 20 or 15
  3. Click OK

Solution 2: Close Unused Sources

  • Hide or remove unused Browser Sources
  • Each Browser Source uses CPU/GPU
  • Keep only what you need active

Solution 3: Disable Animations

  • Go to your dashboard
  • Edit overlay settings
  • Disable animations
  • Reduces CPU usage

Twitch Connection Issues

Can't connect Twitch account

Solution 1: Allow Popups

  • Enable popups for the site
  • Try signing in again
  • Check browser popup blocker

Solution 2: Clear Cookies

  1. Clear browser cookies for the site
  2. Log out of Twitch
  3. Log back into Twitch
  4. Try connecting again

Solution 3: Different Browser

  • Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
  • Disable browser extensions temporarily
  • Use incognito/private mode to test
